Gardening is the best medicine for the mind

For those of us who suffer from mental health problems, winter can be a difficult time. I had my own nervous breakdown last year. This culminated in me unable to do my job – I had to take a month off work and was confined, for long periods of anxious black time, to my house. Anyone who has gone to battle with their own inner demons knows it is a terrifying fight.

10 Mile Trail Run, 5K Race and Kids Races to take place at Glenarm Castle this September
Local club runners Ben Morrow (L) and Ashlynn Rodgers (R) joined Lord Dunluce (Centre) at Glenarm Castle today to launch WILDERBEAST; an exciting new 10 Mile Trail Run to take place in the stunning grounds of the estate on 12th September.

Now in its 5th year the P&O Ferries Dalriada Festival in partnership with UTV, 18 - 25 July continues to get bigger and better every year. But did you know that the main event the world famous Highland Games, 18 – 19th July, has been hosted at Glenarm Castle since 1994 and since then has attracted over half a million visitors!

Celebrating an amazing 10 years. When the Walled Garden and Tea Room at Glenarm Castle opened its gates on Monday 30th March it marked a very special milestone. Welcoming over 250,000 visitors over the years, this will be the tenth season it has been open to the public.
