The ceremony itself takes place in the dramatic Entrance Hall that can seat up to 55 guests. On arrival through the historic Barbican Gate all guests arrive at the door of the Castle where valets will park their cars for them.
Rather like a church guests will take their seats on arrival and wait for the bride who will make her entrance through the beautiful glass porch. The ceremony itself could either take place by the double doors leading to the dining room or in front of the grand fireplace (if it is a smaller group).
After the ceremony the wedding party have the option of retiring to the dining room for champagne and canapés, overseen by the Castle butler. Afterwards photographs can be taken either outside the Castle or in the Walled Garden before the bride and groom and their guests, whose cars will be waiting for them at the Walled Garden, depart for the evening reception.
There are several local venues that could happily provide the evening reception.
Prices start from £2,500. Further details from jane@glenarmcastle.com
