About Glenarm Castle site

Our 5 pods are set within the grounds of this family-owned 17th-century castle. It’s a lovely place to stay on a hill-top site within the estate, with friendly staff on-site.

There’s plenty to do at Glenarm Castle, from strolling in the castle’s walled garden, woodlands and grassy grounds, to visiting the on-site Byre Shop and Tea Room. Don’t leave without sampling one of the ever-changing 50 flavours at Granny Shaws Fudge Factory, where you can watch the sticky sweetness being made. You’re also walking distance from the coast, and right on the unspoiled Causeway Coast Route – ready and waiting to be explored.

The Estate is nestled in the little harbour village of Glenarm dating back to Norman Times. Easy to explore, full of charm and beauty. The Glenarm marina with its fully restored harbour and pier, native wildlife and craft shops has a little something for everyone.

The castle is home to Randal, Viscount Dunluce, son of the 14th Earl of Antrim and his family. They want the castle to be a living breathing attraction, and we’re delighted that further.space pods are a part of that vision.

Whether you’re coming to enjoy a Glenarm Castle event, as a wedding guest (our pod hanging space fits suits or dresses), or simply for a holiday to explore beautiful Northern Ireland and escape the hustle and bustle of daily routines, our pods offer an idyllic getaway.

Dunluce Castle

A splendid ruin on top of a rocky outcrop, Dunluce Castle is a former MacDonnell clan HQ. The family abandoned it in 1639, when the kitchen fell into the sea (complete with kitchen staff). The ruins remain and are a dramatic place to visit here on the Antrin coast. Find out more here

The People’s Park

This 45-acre public park in Ballymena is ideal for families with young children, with play park fun for all ages from toddler to 12. There’s a café on site, plenty of places to run about and admire the summer flowers, as well as tennis courts for hire. In summer there are events throughout the holidays. Find out more here

Giants Causeway

If you’re visiting Northern Ireland for the first time, this natural splendour must be on your list. There’s a visitor centre offering audio guides in 11 languages and guided walks, but you can simply skirt around by yourself to see the 40,000 basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic eruptions.
